Environmental Sustainability Policy:

Intent

This Environmental Sustainability Policy formalises our commitment to supporting the principles of environmental sustainability and recognises that a sustainable environment is central to our lives and our work.

 

The aim of our Environmental Sustainability Policy is to:

  • implement environmental actions within the business

  • monitor the environmental actions and improvements internally

  • communicate environmental initiatives internally and externally.

 

Scope

This policy and associated procedures apply to all staff and collaborating contractors working with ACS Marketing.


Policy

ACS Marketing respects our relationship with the natural environment and its ecosystems. We acknowledge the adverse impacts that human activity can impose and take actions to prevent degradation of those natural systems.

ACS Marketing commits to the following principles and practices:

 

  • Complying with relevant New Zealand Central and Local environmental policy, practices, regulations and legislation.
     

  • Reducing the consumption of natural resources in daily operations, including water, material resources and energy. Through co-working spaces and ensuring efficient operation of office spaces.
     

  • Maximising the reuse and recycling of resources to ensure materials stay in use at the highest value in line with the principles of a Circular Economy.

 

  • Disposing of waste and recycling appropriately, including e-waste at designated e-waste outlets.

 

  • Ensuring a paperless office wherever possible and taking laptop to client meetings.
     

  • Making a conscious decision to research and support businesses that demonstrate a commitment toward the environment when purchasing for any business or client required products or events.

 

  • Support local where possible and purchases client gifts from local suppliers including artisan producers that have sustainable practice.

 

  • Community Support and fundraising to support charities. Delivery of a community project annually called the 'Womanhood Journal'. Producing a local magazine in celebration of International Women’s Day. All funds raised go directly to Kapiti Women’s Centre and Horowhenua Women’s Refuge. Donated $5,000 across 2021 and 2022, with 2023 project in pipeline.

 

  • Reviewing this policy annually and measuring targets and performance as part of that review.

 

Responsibility and Review

This Environmental Sustainability Policy is the responsibility of the Management of ACS Marketing. This policy was lasted updated August 2022 and will be reviewed July 2023.
